Takeshi Kobayashi joined Kakimoto & Nagashima LLP in 2005 after 19 years of work experience in the construction industry in the United States, South East Asia, and Japan holding a variety of positions in management and operations.  Making use of strong business connections and sound business practices, his expertise in management includes creating a solid foundation and being responsible for the business expansion of U.S. subsidiaries of a leading Japanese general contractor, Tokyu Construction, Co., Ltd.

Takeshi has earned his B.A. degree in International Relations and Economics at the University of Asia, Tokyo, Japan and furthered his studies in Development Economics at the University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpar, Malaysia.  His focus was to analyze economic development plans and the social characteristics, such as traditional values and cultural compositions, of South East Asian countries.  Takeshi has utilized the analytical concepts developed through his academic studies, in conjunction with his business experience, to understand the unique characteristics of operations found in Japan/U.S. based organizations and how these operations fit within the audit process framework and other assurance engagements.  In addition, as a California licensed appraiser (AT), he is able to provide additional insight in the performance of business valuations.

Drawing from his diverse background and knowledge base, Takeshi can be relied upon to provide trusted and valuable business advice suitable for the needs of the Japan/U.S. based companies. 

He enjoys traveling, reading books in world history and natural science, and woodworking.
